The group's trading activities are carried out by Edison Trading Spa. Edison Trading is a fully controlled subsidiary of Edison Spa.

Since December 2002 its business has been:

• the purchase and sale of electricity in Italy and abroad and of the related rights of transport capacity for itself and third parties;
• the purchase, sale and supply of fossil fuels, and of the related rights of transport and storage capacity;
• the management of financial derivatives for coverage and market intelligence connected to the commodities in which it deals.
